Lee Stohr is a designer/consultant working primarily in the motorsports world.
After graduating from the University of Delaware with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Lee raced an Elden FF for several years in the early 1980's. He then designed and built several Formula Fords, Formula Continentals and a Formula 3 type car. After founding Stohr Cars, he designed and developed several championship winning, roadracing cars that compete in the Sports Car Club of America. In 2001 Stohr moved into the D Sports Racing class. The first of ten National Championships came just one year later at the SCCA Runoffs in Mid-Ohio.
Currently Lee Stohr is an engineering consultant with an office location in Virginia, USA.
Lee Stohr is also an amateur auto racing historian with particular interest in the pre-WWI era.
Lee Stohr's early career included work on multiple areas of FAA certification and production of a 4 passenger airship for American Blimp Corporation in Hillsboro, OR. Lee also worked on NASA Space Suits at ILC Dover.
