Lee Stohr is a design engineer who has worked primarily in the motorsports world.
After graduating from the University of Delaware with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Lee raced an Elden FF for several years in the early 1980's. He then designed and built several Formula Fords, Formula Continentals and a Formula 3 type car. After founding Stohr Cars, he designed and developed several championship winning, D Sports Racing cars that compete in the Sports Car Club of America. Stohr sports racing cars have won 17 National Championships in the USA and several more in Australia, as of 2015.
Currently Lee Stohr is an engineering consultant with an office location in Virginia, USA. Stohr Design creates reproduction metal castings, often using 3D printing methods.
Lee Stohr is also an amateur auto racing historian with particular interest in the pre-WWI era.
Lee Stohr's early career included work on multiple areas of FAA certification and production of a 4 passenger airship for American Blimp Corporation in Hillsboro, OR. Lee also worked on NASA Space Suits at ILC Dover.
